Ben on L.A.

If you don't remember that the earth is a massive body that exerts an
overwhelming amount of gravity on you, you won't remember to make the
necessary efforts to keep yourself upright. Indeed, your vigilance
against gravity must be equal to it's consistency in order to do
anything except lay flat on your back. Going to LA this week was like
suddenly being freed from this force. We could spend all day
wandering in a museum, driving aimlessly around town, waiting for
three hours for tickets to a musical instead of making the necessary,
constant exertions to maintain the health and safety of our children.
It felt distinctly like floating. LA lived up to it's reputation as a
fantasy land for us. Thanks Mom and Dad!
