Halloween Part 1: 'Our Pumpkin Patch'

Dear Sandy,

I wanted to make sure you got the full effect of Fall in Ghana. I don't imagine there will be fields of pumpkins and two adorable little grandchildren to watch.

We found a nice farm in Lakeside (25 minutes from our apartment) about 4 years ago. It was perfect, charming, and quaint. A great place for our then 2 year old (Chloe at the time)...They even have ponies! I gush about this place because we have had an idyllic dinner under the huge olive tree, watched Lily glow with excitement at a pony 'just her size', and enjoyed the fields of bright, orange pumpkins waiting for my girls to run through them. Our tradition began...and gets better each year.
