Petco Park

Hi All,

This is your captain speaking (i.e. Ben). Isa has unfortunately not had time to maintain this blog much. Partly because of her new-found interest in Facebook. These days this is best way to follow her daily goings on. If you are not her friend on Facebook yet, add her. If you don't have a Facebook account and are not sure how to set one up (e.g. grand and great grand parents), I'd be happy to help you do that, just call me. So I am taking over the blog at least temporarily and sporadically until Isa feels the need to blog again. It's only a matter of time.

This last sentence is our daily mantra which we recite incessantly since we are still searching for employment and have no idea where we will be living a month or two from now (!). We have grown accustomed to the instability since we have put our lives in the Lord's hands. Actually, we have come to the realization that we are and have always been floating through a vast chasm of chaos and eruption, held aloft only by the unseen hands of God. The only difference now is that God has decided to lower his hands a little closer to the fiery lava just so we can get a good look around at where we actually are and have always been. And I don't think we're the only ones these days who are getting this new perspective. At first it scared us half to death but then we realized that though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death we need not fear for He is with us. This has been a real blessing and I wouldn't trade it. Now we're just enjoying the ride, admiring the view and waiting patiently.

To that end we stopped recently to smell one particularly aromatic rose known as beautiful Petco Park in the heart of glorious downtown San Diego, with its views of the bay, sailboats, breathtaking skylines and, on this occasion, the NL wild card leading Colorado Rockies! Go Rockies!!
