Lily is a very finicky eater. Tonight she was standing at the top of the stairs whining and pouting about not wanting to eat dinner. I was coaxing and threatening her (with an early bedtime) but she came up with a reply that totally disarmed us. She said, "I'm just a girl whose being true to herself!"

She must have heard that somewhere but she says she made it up.
