Miss Connie noticed something was in Chloe's mouth while she sat on my lap during part of the ICNS board meeting. Chloe was embarrassed for putting a large yellow bead in her mouth and spit it out. She started to cry silently, smashing her face into my chest. This is the first time I have ever seen her act visibly embarrassed in front of other adults because of her behavior. A few minutes later she got the bead off of the floor, Miss Sylvia (who was attending the mtg.) gave her some matching string and she made a beautiful bracelet. She made a necklace out of the bead that caused her such embarrassment-and she wore it! I love and admire Chloe's strength and resilience. I will always keep that yellow bead bracelet.
“Mommy, you are my best friend in the whole world!”
“BUT, Where is the mouth?” referring to the peas growing in the garden…Ben was teaching her about plants needing water and how they grow. He explained about roots and she said, "It doesn't make sense. Where is the MOUTH?"
Daddy bought me a "Shake Milk!"
Talking about her Polly Pocket dolls "We need to keep these away from Lily! They are a choking hazard!" matter of fact!
Chloe offered to fix our flat tire with her "little tools"...and "take that screw right out".
